On the Road...
Just back from Grands Jours de Bourgogne 2026, tasting through a whole lotta Grands crus...and Crémant de Bourgogne.

Think Bourgogne is all about overpriced Grands Crus for the 1%? Guess again.
After a week sipping through 13 different events from Chablis to Mercurey, the Grands Jours de Bourgogne showcased a region open and accessible to all—from easy-drinking regional and village wines to age-worthy Grand and Premier Crus.
Also stunning Crémant de Bourgogne, which gives Champagne a run for its money. More on that later…
Interestingly, Bourgogne comprises about 3% of France’s total wine production, with nearly 50% of its bottles destined for export.
Never complacent, the key to Bourgogne’s success remains simple: a commitment to quality, sustainability, and constant improvement.
For example, Grands Jours de Bourgogne employs eco-conscious practices, from bottle reuse, recycling, and carpooling to serving seasonal fare from local caterers.
So… you can look forward to upcoming Substack Live interviews with some of my favorite Crémant de Bourgogne producers whose wines I tasted during Grands Jours de Bourgogne.
Hopefully, you’ll discover why these affordable sparklers merit exploring!
Cheers, TdB Tribe!🍾
